Your customers are no longer just searching on Google — they're asking AI which companies to shortlist. This audit shows exactly where you stand, who's winning, and what to do next.
Saigon Digital transformed how Ski.com shows up online. Beyond rebuilding our platform, they helped us rethink our entire search and AI visibility strategy. We saw a significant uplift in organic traffic, our content started appearing in AI-generated travel recommendations, and the quality of inbound leads improved dramatically. They understand where digital discovery is heading and how to turn visibility into real commercial results.

View Case StudiesA snapshot of where StaffCircle stands in the AI search era — and the opportunity cost of the current gap.
Credit where it is due: StaffCircle’s on-site AI groundwork — the llms.txt, the AI-open robots.txt, the JSON-LD — is the best we have seen from any vendor in this category. But two things undo it: the server itself turns away unverified AI agents your robots.txt invites in (we reproduced the 403s on 2 October 2026), and the third-party sources AI engines actually quote barely mention you. The result: buyers asking AI for “the best AI performance management software” — your exact positioning — get Lattice, 15Five and Leapsome. Not StaffCircle.
We tested how StaffCircle appears when potential customers ask AI tools to recommend AI Performance Management Software providers in UK & North America. Here's what we found.
Known to ChatGPT through G2/Capterra (4.6–4.7/5) and UK lists, but absent from the category answers US and global buyers see.
Surfaces for UK-intent searches; missing from mid-market and “AI performance management” answers.
Perplexity builds shortlists from the round-up corpus, where StaffCircle rarely features outside the UK.
Gemini leans on the same listicle and review corpus; no StaffCircle citations found in category queries.
1 / 4 platforms currently surface StaffCircle in relevant AI-generated recommendations.
Structured authority content, third-party mentions, FAQ pages, and consistent brand signals across the web — all of which competitors currently have more of.
We ran the exact searches your buyers use when asking AI tools to recommend a solution. Here's who appeared — and whether StaffCircle was in the answer.
StaffCircle appears only when the buyer names the UK. The moment the query is category-led (“AI performance management”) or segment-led (mid-market, frontline), the answer is assembled from third-party round-ups where StaffCircle is missing — so the shortlist is Lattice, 15Five and Leapsome before a buyer ever reaches your site.
The frontline query is wide open: the platforms cited there (Connecteam, Blink) do communication, not performance. StaffCircle is the rare platform that genuinely bridges both — a defensible answer nobody currently owns. And your on-site AEO groundwork already beats every competitor we checked; what is missing is the off-site corpus engines quote, plus working access for the agents you invited.
These are the companies currently winning AI recommendations in your market. Understanding why they're cited — and you're not — reveals the exact gap to close.
| Company | DR | ChatGPT | Google AIO | Perplexity | Why They Win |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| StaffCircle You | 48 | Partial | Partial | Not Cited | Audit target |
| Lattice | 79 | Cited | Appearing | Cited | Top pick in nearly every round-up tested; ~4,000 G2 reviews and deep comparison-page coverage. |
| Culture Amp | 80 | Cited | Appearing | Cited | Highest authority in the category; owns the engagement + performance narrative in the research corpus. |
| 15Five | 77 | Cited | Appearing | Cited | Named in both US and UK lists we tested; “continuous performance” content cluster feeds AI answers. |
| Leapsome | 72 | Cited | Appearing | Cited | Owns the “European mid-market” qualifier in AI answers — the slot StaffCircle could hold for the UK. |
| Appraisd | 52 | Partial | Partial | Not Cited | Closest UK rival at similar authority (DR 52); competes for the same UK listicle slots. |

These are the highest-leverage changes StaffCircle can make right now to start appearing in AI-generated recommendations within 30–90 days.
Align Cloudflare with your robots.txt: whitelist the AI user agents you invite (verified-bot settings plus explicit rules for on-demand fetchers like ChatGPT-User, Claude-User and Perplexity-User), stop challenging sitemap.xml, then verify with log sampling that each agent fetches real HTML, not a 403 page. Your llms.txt is wasted until this is fixed.
A targeted placement campaign on the specific “best AI performance management” and “best for mid-size” round-ups our tests showed AI engines citing (People Managing People, PeopleGoal, Assembly, Eletive and peers), paired with G2/Capterra review velocity. This is the single highest-leverage input to ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini shortlists.
Nobody cited in the frontline/deskless query does performance management. A comparison-led content cluster (“performance management for deskless teams”, StaffCircle vs Connecteam/Blink) stakes a claim on an answer with no incumbent.
While auditing how AI sees StaffCircle, we also looked at the website itself (served behind Cloudflare — the stack itself cannot be inspected externally, which is part of the story). These specific issues are holding back both your AI visibility and how the site converts, and they are all fixable.
Reproduced 2 Oct 2026: a request identifying as GPTBot returned HTTP 403, and standard HTTP fetchers (the kind RAG tools and AI browsing agents use) hit a Cloudflare challenge on every page we tried — homepage, /platform, /pricing, /about-us. Your robots.txt invites these agents in; the edge turns them away.
https://www.staffcircle.com/sitemap.xml returns a 403 “Just a moment…” page (itself tagged noindex, nofollow) to non-browser agents. Any AI or SEO system that starts from the sitemap — the file your own llms.txt points to — gets a dead end instead of your URL list.
The knowledge base lives at knowledge.staffcircle.info — a different registrable domain, not a subdomain of staffcircle.com. Hundreds of question-shaped support pages (exactly the content AI engines like to cite) earn authority for staffcircle.info instead of your main site, and split the brand entity AI models build.
Web development and WordPress are core strengths at Saigon Digital. Fixing the issues above is part of the work, not a separate project. We handle the AI visibility, the SEO, and the website itself.
This audit shows the problem. Fixing it usually means more than AI alone: the website, the SEO and the AI visibility all work together. We handle all three, then keep it growing.
StaffCircle has a clear path to winning AI and search visibility, and a website that supports it. The gap to competitors is real but closeable. We typically start with a fixed-price foundation sprint (AI and GEO, SEO, and the website fixes above), then a simple monthly retainer to keep growing and maintain the site. A 30-minute call is all it takes to map it out.
Nick Rowe · CEO & Co-Founder, Saigon Digital
A fixed-price 3-month sprint: get cited in AI answers, fix the SEO foundations, and reposition and repair the website (development and WordPress included). One scope, one price.
A simple monthly retainer once the foundation is set: continued SEO and AI visibility growth, content, and website maintenance and support. Rolling monthly, no long lock-in.
Every month your competitors build more authority signals, the gap widens. AI models are training on content published now, so delay compounds the problem.
